Talking about the attractiveness of the country for property investment, Pantelis Leptos, co-President of Leptos Group points out the impressive rebound of the Cypriot Real Estate market, which has now outpaced its pre-global financial crisis from 2008.

Despite the global pandemic, property construction in Limassol has remained strong along the west side of the city that is now being dubbed Europe’s New Riviera by developers, Leptos Estates.
Sales at the developer’s latest, high end development Limassol Blu Marine, has now totalled €100M as byers seek all around sunshine and take advantage of the country’s permanent residency programmes.
The luxury development is one of several taking shape over the past year, including bespoke residential and shopping destination Limassol Del Mar to the east and the new City of Dreams Mediterranean to the west. At Limassol Blu Marine, the foundation of the first tower was laid with a 140-men construction crew working day and night in December.
Leptos Estates has a long and distinguished history dating back 62 years. Based on the idyllic island of Cyprus, the family-owned firm operates in southern Cyprus. Thanks to its climate, steady government, relative safety, and demand for high-end real estate, the company has managed to become the largest real-estate developer on the island.
Their latest luxury project, Limassol Blu Marine, has generated sales of €100M, 30% of which came from the Middle East. Leptos Estates also has business interests in shopping, healthcare, and education.

The Cypriot economy – and in particular the real estate sector – is experiencing a period of substantive growth, following the early 2000s financial crisis. In fact, Cyprus now enjoys one of the highest growth rates in the EU at around four percent per year. Macroeconomic forecasts show a sustained growth of more than three percent in the coming years.
